The University of Delhi (DU) has revised the schedule for the DU PG Admission 2026 process, announcing updated dates for the upgrade round and Spot Round 1 admissions. The university has issued the complete timeline for the upcoming rounds of admissions while sharing fresh data on the undergraduate admission process under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).

Candidates who receive a seat through the DU PG upgradation round will be required to complete the admission process by paying the prescribed fee on or before July 24, 2026. Departments and colleges will simultaneously verify and approve the online applications until the same date. Students allotted upgraded seats must complete all admission formalities within the stipulated deadline to retain their allotted seats.

Delhi University has also confirmed that the Round 2 allocation list for performance-based postgraduate programmes will be published on July 28, 2026. The allocation will cover admissions to Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Master of Arts (MA) in Music, Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), Master of Physical Education (MPEd), along with admissions under the Children/Widows (CW) and Ward supernumerary quota categories. Candidates allotted seats in this round will be required to accept and confirm their admission by July 30, 2026.

For DU PG Spot Round 1, the university will publish the list of vacant seats on July 25, 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the spot admission process between July 25 and July 26. The spot round seat allocation list is scheduled to be announced on July 29, after which candidates will have to accept their allotted seats between July 29 and July 31. Departments and colleges will verify and approve the online applications from July 29 to August 1, while the last date for online payment of admission fees for Spot Round 1 has been fixed as August 2, 2026.

The university has advised candidates allotted seats through the upgradation process to complete the confirmation process within the notified schedule. Failure to pay the admission fee or complete the required formalities before the deadline may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

Alongside the revised postgraduate admission schedule, Delhi University also released updated figures for the ongoing CSAS Undergraduate Round 1 admissions. According to the latest data, 63,756 candidates have confirmed their admissions so far. Among them, 15,265 candidates exercised the “Freeze” option to retain their allotted seats, while 48,153 applicants opted for the “Upgrade” option in the hope of securing admission to a higher-preference programme or college in the subsequent rounds.

The university had released the first CSAS allocation list last week, through which 93,033 candidates were allotted seats for the 2026-27 academic session. These allocations were made against more than 71,000 undergraduate seats available across 221 academic programmes offered by 67 colleges affiliated with Delhi University.
