Tamil Nadu HSE- I Chemistry Question Paper and Answer Key 2026: Download PDF

Today, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the DGE(Directorate of Government Examinations), Tamil Nadu, conducted the HSE- 1 Chemistry exam for Class 11 Science stream students. The exam duration was from 10:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with 15 minutes extra allotted time for paper reading. The Tamil Nadu 11th Chemistry paper has a 100 Mark structure in which 70 Mark is allocated for theory components, 20 marks for practical, and a 10-point for internal assessment.

The paper was divided into four sections each containing a mix of 15 objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), 2 mark and 3 mark descriptive questions with mandatory questions, and detailed 5-mark “either/or” type long-answer questions. The paper was structured to assess chemical equations, structural understanding, and numerical problem-solving skills.
