The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have published the counselling schedule for the IISER Admissions 2026. As per the official timeline, Round 1 admissions will commence on July 24, 2026, at 5 PM, marking the beginning of the counselling process for eligible applicants seeking admission to IISER programmes. Candidates who have successfully registered for the counselling process will be able to access their admission status through the official IISER admission portal and must complete the required admission formalities within the stipulated deadlines to secure their allotted seats.
According to the schedule, the Round 1 admission window will remain open from July 24 (5 PM) to July 28 (5 PM). Following this, Round 2 admission offers will be available from August 1 (5 PM) to August 5 (5 PM), while Round 3 admission offers will be released from August 10 (5 PM) to August 13 (5 PM). During each admission round, candidates are required to log in to the official portal to check whether they have been allotted a seat and, if selected, complete the seat acceptance process within the prescribed timeframe.
Candidates who receive an admission offer must also pay the prescribed Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) to confirm their admission. For candidates belonging to the General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC), OBC-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Kashmiri Migrants (KM), Kashmiri Pandits and Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) categories, the seat acceptance fee has been fixed at ₹35,000, which includes a non-refundable administrative fee of ₹10,000. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories will be required to pay ₹7,500, including a non-refundable administrative fee of ₹5,000, to confirm their allotted seats.
