DU UG Admission 2026 | DU UG CSAS Allocation 2026: 61,932 Students Secure Admissions; Second Admission List Soon

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced that 61,932 candidates have confirmed their undergraduate admissions by paying the requisite fee under the first round of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026.

The latest figures indicate a significant increase in admissions compared to the university’s previous update. As of 7 pm on July 20, 45,316 candidates had completed the admission process. The number has since risen by more than 16,600, with students completing fee payment before the deadline.

Earlier, the university had stated that over 81,900 candidates had accepted the undergraduate seats allotted to them in the first round, reflecting strong participation in the admission process.

The first CSAS allocation list, released last week, offered admission to 93,033 candidates against more than 71,000 undergraduate seats available across 221 programmes in 67 colleges for the 2026-27 academic session.

The seat allotments were made from a pool of over 2.08 lakh candidates who completed Phase II of the admission process by submitting their preferred colleges and programmes.

DU UG CSAS Seat Allotment 2026: Steps to Check

Candidates can follow these steps to view their allotment status:

1. Visit the official DU UG admission portal.
2. Click on the Candidate Login option on the homepage.
3. Enter the CUET UG 2026 application number, password and security captcha.
4. Click on the Allotment Status link.
5. Check the allotted college and programme.
6. Download the allotment letter and keep a printed copy for future reference.

Candidates who have accepted their allotted seats will have the opportunity to apply for an upgrade in the subsequent rounds if they wish to be considered for a higher-preference college or programme.

The second CSAS allocation list is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2026, while the new academic session at the University of Delhi will commence on July 28, 2026.
