The simulated rank list has been made available on the official Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) admission portal, ugadmission.uod.ac.in, and covers more than 2.06 lakh candidates who completed the preference-filling process. As per the official data released, for the 2026-27 academic session, a total of 2,18,284 candidates registered for the DU CSAS UG admission process, while 2,06,835 applicants successfully submitted their programme and college preferences, making them eligible for the simulated rank list. The top ten preferred programmes included BCom (Hons), BCom, BA (Hons) English, BA (Hons) Political Science, BA Programme (History and Political Science), BA (Hons) History, BSc (Hons) in Zoology, Mathematics, BSc programme Life Science and BA (Hons) Economics, the officials informed PTI .
According to the university, the simulated rank list provides candidates with tentative ranks based on their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 scores and the programme and college preferences submitted during the admission process. The university has clarified that the simulated rank list is only indicative in nature and should not be treated as the final admission rank or as a guarantee of admission to any undergraduate programme. The ranks displayed are provisional and are intended to help applicants assess their current standing before the final seat allocation. Delhi University has advised candidates to use this opportunity to carefully review their choices, as they are still permitted to update, revise, add or delete their programme and college preferences before the final allotment. Since preferences can still be modified, the university has stated that the final rank for a particular programme may differ from the simulated rank currently displayed. Candidates seeking to modify the order of their programme and college preferences can do so until 4.59 PM today, July 13.
In its notification, the university also explained the tie-breaking mechanism that will be applied wherever candidates secure identical CUET scores. In such cases, the Class 12 marks submitted by the applicants will be used to resolve the tie. The university has further warned that if any discrepancy or incorrect information is found in the Class 12 marks or other details submitted by a candidate, the candidature may be cancelled without prior notice, and the applicant will be solely responsible for the consequences arising from furnishing inaccurate information. Delhi University has also informed candidates that simulated ranks have not been generated for certain programmes where admissions are based on performance tests rather than CUET scores. These include BA (Hons) Hindustani Music, BA (Hons) Carnatic Music, BA (Hons) Percussion Music, BSc in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports (BSc PE, HE and S), and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programmes. Admissions to these courses will be carried out through the respective performance-based selection process.
As per the official admission schedule, the DU CSAS UG 2026 Phase 1 seat allotment result will be announced on July 16, following which candidates who receive seats must complete the online acceptance process and confirm their allotted undergraduate seats by July 18. Candidates are advised to review their simulated ranks carefully, make any necessary changes to their preferences within the stipulated window and regularly monitor the official DU admission portal for further updates regarding the seat allocation and admission process.
