JMI will email shortlisted candidates their admission confirmation and details of the physical document verification process.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has commenced the admission process for the 2026-27 academic session for 49 distance and online programmes offered through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Eligible candidates can apply online for JMI admission 2026-27 through the university’s admission portal. The last date to submit the application form is August 10, 2026.
The courses will be offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) modes. This year, JMI has introduced two new online programmes, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biosciences and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Under the JMI Admission 2026 process, candidates will be selected based on their qualifying examination scores and interview performance for these newly launched courses. Apart from degree programmes, the university is also offering admissions to postgraduate diploma, advanced diploma, diploma, and certificate courses across various disciplines.

JMI Admission Process 2026: Selection procedure
Admissions to most undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes will be based on merit in the qualifying examination. MBA (ODL) and B.Ed. admissions will be conducted through an entrance examination scheduled for August 22, 2026.
Shortlisted candidates will receive admission confirmation on their registered email IDs along with the schedule for physical document verification. The document verification and fee payment process is expected to be conducted between August 31 and September 10, 2026.
