RRB Section Controller Eligibility
To apply for the RRB Section Controller Recruitment 2026, candidates must fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions related to educational qualification, age limit, nationality, and medical fitness. Educational Qualification
To apply for the Section Controller post, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognised university. The degree should be obtained on or before the last date of application. Candidates awaiting their final results are generally not eligible to apply.

RRB Section Controller Selection Process
The RRB Section Controller 2026 selection process includes four stages. Candidates must successfully clear each stage to be considered for final appointment.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify in the CBT will appear for the CBAT. Those who clear the aptitude test will be called for Document Verification and a Medical Examination. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance and successful completion of all the required stages.
RRB Section Controller CBT Exam Pattern
The RRB Section Controller CBT Exam 2026 will have 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks. The exam will cover Analytical & Mathematical Capability, Logical Capability, and Mental Reasoning. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the test.

RRB Section Controller CBAT Details
The Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is the second stage of the selection process. Candidates will be shortlisted for the CBAT based on their performance in the CBT.
- A total of 8 times the number of vacancies from each category (UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS, including Ex-Servicemen) will be called for the aptitude test.
- The CBAT will be conducted only in English and Hindi.
- To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery.
- There is no negative marking in the CBAT.
The final merit list for the Section Controller post will be prepared only from candidates who qualify in the CBAT. The final score will be calculated by giving 70% weightage to the CBT marks and 30% weightage to the CBAT marks.
