The university has announced category-wise as well as registration number-wise reporting schedules, with the trials set to be conducted between July 16 and July 25. The schedule has been issued as the university continues the undergraduate admission process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

According to the notification, physical trials for several ECA categories, including dance, debate, vocal music and theatre, will commence on July 16, while yoga trials are scheduled to begin on July 17. Quiz trials will be conducted on July 20, followed by creative writing on July 21. Trials for digital media, divinity and instrumental music will also begin from July 21 onwards.

Candidates have been assigned reporting slots based on their registration numbers to ensure the smooth conduct of the selection process. The university has designated separate nodal colleges for each ECA category. For the Creative Writing category, candidates opting for Hindi will appear for their trial on July 21 at 2 pm, while candidates in the English category have been divided into two batches based on their registration numbers for trials on the same day. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College has been designated for Fine Arts, where trials in sketching, painting and sculpture will be conducted from July 20 to July 24. The university has clarified that no physical trials will be conducted for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) categories. In an important advisory accompanying the schedule, Delhi University stated that candidates travelling from outside Delhi may request a change in their trial date within the notified schedule for their respective ECA category by submitting a written request to the university’s Admission Branch. However, such requests will only be considered during the scheduled trial period for that category and no request will be entertained after the trials conclude. The university has also made it clear that requests for rescheduling Creative Writing and Quiz trials will not be accepted, as these categories are scheduled to be conducted on a single day only. Delhi University offers admission under the ECA supernumerary quota across 14 categories, including theatre, dance, debate, music, fine arts, creative writing, quiz, yoga, NCC and NSS, among others. The university has also confirmed that the 2026-27 academic session will commence on July 28, making the ECA trials an important step in the ongoing undergraduate admission process.
